I’m all about looks that are “normal” or effortlessly stylish, if you will, but I looooove a good kick! You know, like rocking a blazer and a pair of booties is pretty normal, but when I get my hands on the two, it gets trendsetting and fiery!
The time I wore my red vintage military blazer and paired with one of my most coveted pair of shoes, the “Caiman Boots” from IAmJenniferLe.com, is a great example of this!
Yea it’s a blazer and booties alright, but the tailored cut of the jacket along with the button and collar details, paired with boots that are cut-out in the back (some call this style shoe a mule or clog), this look is anything but normal and is indeed all the way fly!
I love that I can rock this style during the day, even with all it’s character, as well as paint the town red in this dressy but more so casual (to me) ensemble.
The jeans and premium white tee give the jacket and boots a good balance but the jeans also adds some edge because of it’s hyper light blue wash and distressed style. The fact that the jeans are a stretchy, skinny fit also work to define a shapely yet slick look amongst all the layers.
To accessorize, I tried something new by rocking a bindi on my forehead. It’s something subtle yet endearing and adds a lot of sass!
This look is great for a casual date with a guy or even your girlfriends, casual Friday at work or if your job attire is always casual but you want to add some spice, bible study, a chill night out on the town or for any special occasion that calls for a dressy casual dress code.
