I got a chance to catch up with Pusha-T about fashion and his line ‘Play Cloths’ during his in-store appearance in Los Angeles, recently!
Outfit details: Top & jeans: Nasty Gal (Melrose), Coat (vest) & shoes: Zara, Clutch: Forever 21
Having recently visited Nasty Gal on Melrose, I was geeked to wear the gold turtleneck crop top and high waist skinny jeans I found there! It was sunny but a bit of breezy in LA that day so I decided throw on a Zara coat that I cut the sleeves off of to make into a vest. I imagined this particular coat better as a vest, plus I rarely wore the coat because it’s not very useful in LA weather AND the sleeves are extra itchy. The coat now as a vest turned out to be a great decision!
Another reason I opted for the vest is because it gives my look a more relaxed and effortless feel so it’s a perfect pair for me to tone down the look for daytime wear but still add fashionable flare!
As for the red, well it seems to be the best accent color to complete the holiday vibe that the top exudes, as well as for contrast and highlight. Black, for example, wouldn’t have done much for the outfit.
My favorite part about my look is the gold crop top because it’s very bold yet unassuming. The extra long sleeves to make for a slouch look is very unique as well as the fact that it’s a sweater with a turtleneck and a crop top at that! All the things we love about fall/winter wardrobe is featured in this one top and it’s crop top cut makes it special!
