PinkGrasshopper. in collaboration with Her Favorite (@Herfavoritela) held a contest for two winners to receive a makeover, VIP style! We summoned model Helen Gedlu (@CallHerHelen) for model direction and the very talented Justin Henry (Jus10HenryPhoto) to take the professional shots.
Winners, Marilyn (@marilyndram) and Shakiyla (@itsakiylathing) took “before” photos to show their looks prior to the makeover. They came to the shoot in an outfit they would wear on a normal day for them.
Marilyn rocks a simple jean and combat boot look above and Shakiyla came in her chucks and stone washed jeans.
Once PinkGrasshopper. and Her Favorite took over, we changed their looks completely. We had Kamaren Williams (@_kamthebeautiful) on makeup for both girls, Christina Yarde’ (@stinabelize1) on hair, Team PinkGrasshopper. as stylists and Her Favorite provided the wardrobe.
Here’s how the winners look after the makeover!
Shakiyla wears all white with a pop of color on her collar and Shiekh Shoes to match! We adore her glow and confidence!
Marilyn did not shy away from taking on a flirty athletic look. We love her makeover fly!
We didn’t think she could get any more fierce but Marilyn showed out in Her Favorite’s custom Bulls dress for her second look!
With Helen’s model direction, Shakiyla gave her best and nothing short of fire for her second look!
Helen also did her thing in front of the camera for our shoot! Check her out wearing the Her Favorite brocade two-piece and the two-faced booties by Shiekh Shoes (@shiekhwomen)!
Thanks to everyone who entered the contest and supported the entire project.
